Calafiori sees signs Gunners are bound for special season

IT'S MAX EMOTION Calafiori enjoys the Everton win and, inset, Dowman is mobbed after scoring

RICCARDO CALAFIORI says his sensational ‘scorpion block’ has left him convinced “big things" are going to happen.

Calafiori was still glowing about record-breaking wonderkid Max Dowman's late goal against Everton, which the Arsenal defender said was the “best moment of the season”.

And it also came on the back of Calafiori’s acrobatic goal-line block which thwarted Everton‘s Dwight McNeil to set up last Saturday's dramatic win which has totally changed the mood at the Emirates.

They now go into their Champions League return leg against Bayer Leverkusen all square but in high spirits.

After all the talk of set pieces and style of play, 16-year-old Dowman - who became the youngest scorer in Premier League history - has completely changed the focus for the run-in.
