Benefits cap axe to gift unemployed families £25k

LABOUR scrapping the two-child benefit cap will hand £25,000 to the average jobless family, Tory analysis shows.

It will cost taxpayers £14billion over five years, with almost half going to out-of-work families — an average of £25,000 per workless household in that period.

The Tories plan to vote against the legislation when it returns to the Commons today.
