BBC apologises to Trump over doctored speech

THE BBC has apologised to Donald Trump over edited footage of a speech that appeared on Panorama in 2024.
The broadcaster admitted to an “error of judgment” and said that the programme will “not be broadcast again in this form on any BBC platforms”.
It came after the US president threatened to sue the corporation for $1billion unless it apologised, issued a retraction and offered compensation by today for the editing of the speech, which made it appear as if he was urging people to attack the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
