Trent's Spanish will get fans onside

TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD endeared himself straight away to Real Madrid fans with an introductory speech in Spanish.

The former Liverpool full-back's big unveiling in the Spanish capital included the staged pictures of his medical, before he sat in an auditorium to watch the highlights of his career.

Alexander-Arnold, 26, will hope to add plenty more to that montage in the white of Real.

He spoke in fluent Spanish for more than a minute, which suggested he may have been doing a bit more than a daily lesson on Duolingo.

It brought plenty of applause from the club officials and invited guests which included his girlfriend Estelle Behnke, his parents and brothers - who were no doubt impressed.

Now it is about continuing to impress them on the football pitch.

Alexander-Arnold was a long-term target for the Spanish giants.
