A double dose of Davina
Daily Express
|September 03, 2025
TONIGHT'S best TV offers you a choice between Davina McCall and, er, Davina McCall.
The effervescent presenter has taken over primetime with a new dating series, STRANDED ON HONEYMOON ISLAND (BBC1, 9pm), and over on ITV1 a two-part run of Long Lost Family.
BBC1 is for frivolity, ITV1 is for weep-inducing reunions, and my advice is to watch both at some point. First up, the fun bit.
Stranded is a dating show that is a bit like Married At First Sight only with Bushtucker Trials. It sees a dozen singletons eager to find soulmates paired up after meeting for only five minutes at a speed-dating event. They’re all transported to a remote Philippines island and only find out who they'll be marrying when they reach the altar (the wedding is not official, just symbolic).
