36 dead as fire engulfs Hong Kong high-rises

AT least 36 people died and 279 were missing in an inferno that engulfed seven apartment blocks in Hong Kong.
A man who gave his name as Wong, 71, was seen pleading for help as his wife was trapped inside the complex, mainly occupied by older residents.
A firefighter was among those killed. At least 29 remained in hospital while around 700 were evacuated to shelters.
A baby and an elderly woman were among those rescued.
