33C heatwave comes scorching in

Temperatures to climb before hitting peak over the weekend
THE heat is on for the highest June temperature, as experts predict the UK will bask in 33C this weekend.
Forecasters are expecting a climb to that peak on Sunday in parts of Eastern England closing in on the record high of 35.6C observed in Southampton back in June 1976.
Conditions are classed as a heatwave when areas hit a certain temperature on three consecutive days.
Thresholds vary from 25C to 28C in different parts of the UK.
It is tipped to reach 27C today then 29C tomorrow, 30C on Friday and 32C on Saturday. There may be thundery showers in the far west late on Friday.
