Investment pumped into UK firms

- By David Williamson Chief Political Commentator

NEARLY 7,000 UK jobs will be created as a result of over £1billion of investment in Britain by Indian firms.

A trade deal between the two countries was agreed three months ago and a raft of deals have been signed.

Sixty-four investors will pump £1.3billion into dynamic British firms, spurring hopes that the country will escape the era of flatlining growth.

TVS Motor Company will put £250million into Solihullbased Norton Motorcycles.
