'£17bn bill' to fix potholes in our roads

FILLING in all pothole-plagued roads would take 12 years to complete and cost nearly £17billion, experts have warned.
They found one in six miles of the local road network has fewer than five years’ structural life left.
But repair work is done on average once every 93 years, said a report by the Asphalt Industry Alliance.
