£10billion deal to make warships

WARSHIPS for Norway’s navy will be built in Britain as part of a £10billion deal.

The move is the UK’s largest ever international warship contract and will safeguard 4,000 jobs, the Government said.

All the Type 26 frigates will be built at BAE Systems’ yard in Govan, Glasgow, where work is already under way on eight vessels for the Royal Navy.
