MLAs Angry Over Lack of India-England Match Tickets, Slam MCA

Tempers flared in the Maharashtra Legislative Council after several MLAs complained that they were unable to get tickets for the India vs England T20 World Cup match at Wankhede Stadium.
Legislators sharply criticised the functioning of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and demanded that elected representatives be given access to match passes.
Raising the issue in the House, MLC Sachin Ahir said it was a matter of pride that such a high profile international match was being played in Mumbai. However, he expressed disappointment that MLAs were unable to obtain tickets, while passes were reportedly available for corporate guests, police officers and bureaucrats.
