'We still have a big chance for best season in Palace history'
Croydon Advertiser
|April 25, 2025
OLIVER Glasner felt Crystal Palace used the first half dismissal of Chris Richards against Bournemouth on Saturday as a galvanising factor.
And the Palace boss said they would continue to do so as they head into their FA Cup semi-final with Aston Villa tomorrow (Saturday) because they “still have a big chance to play the best season in Crystal Palace's history”.
The Eagles played Arsenal on Wednesday - after the Advertiser went to press - in another game their manager felt they could approach in a positive fashion, spurred by regaining their confidence in the second half against the Cherries.
Richards was sent off for a second yellow card, just before half time.
The Eagles, led by defender Marc Guehi as captain for the 64th time in his 150th appearance, went on to secure a clean sheet.
