Third annual event is played in memory of beloved baby boy
THE community came together in touching fashion for the third annual Theodore William Gill Cup charity football match, held at Nantwich Town Football Club's Swansway Stadium.
The event was organised by local parents Greg Gill and Charlotte Wilson in loving memory of their baby son Theodore William Gill, who was born sleeping on April 26, 2023.
Before kick-off, players, mascots and spectators joined in a heartfelt minute's applause, followed by the release of blue balloons into the sky.
Each player wore a specially printed shirt bearing 'TWG FC in memory 26/04/2023' on the front and 'THEO' on the back.
