BEN Sheaf is up and running at Wrexham after his deadline day transfer from Coventry City.

The former Sky Blues skipper came off the bench with his new side 2-0 down to visitors Queen's Park Rangers on Saturday.

Wrexham pulled a goal back through Kieffer Moore but lost 3-1 and sit one place above the relegation zone with a single victory from five games.

Sheaf managed half an hour in place of Matty James and could come into contention for his first start, not just for his new club but for this season, against Norwich City on Saturday.

He will do so hoping to kick-start a career that had stalled at the CBS Arena.
