ADI Viveash showed both his class and honesty in the way he paid tribute to his former club and the Coventry City players he used to coach following Tuesday night's 4-2 defeat in his final caretaker match at Middlesbrough.

The former Sky Blues assistant and first team coach knows most of Frank Lampard’s players, with whom he enjoyed a strong bond and working relationship during his time at the CBS Arena.

Viveash, who will revert to Boro’s coaching backroom following the appointment of new head coach Kim Hellberg, admitted that City “didn’t disappoint” and described them as “attacking and ruthless” in the final third at the Riverside where he felt the Teessiders “got away” with a few chances that went begging for the visitors.
