Residents can have their say on plans for new Play Zones

SIX brand-new sports and activity spaces could be created in Coventry.

Plans have been submitted for PlayZones, which could be introduced in deprived city neighbourhoods, including Foleshill, Hillfields and Willenhall.

Coventry City Council will lead the project, which is being funded by the Premier League, the FA, and Sport England.

PlayZones could be created at Edgwick Park, Jardine Crescent, Longford Park, Moat House, Virginia Road, and Willenhall Brookstray.

Existing Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs) in the city will be transformed into PlayZones.

Others could also be introduced and would be high-quality spaces designed for a variety of sports, with the aim of encouraging people to 'get active and stay healthy.'
