Ofgem doesn't work in the public's interest

OFGEM is a government agency that's created to protect the public from abuses in the energy industry, so how can it explain that in the summer months when you use less energy the prices come down, along comes the winter when you use more energy, the energy cap goes up?

How this benefits the customer I just don't know. We have all these Government quangos and none of them seem to work in the public's interest. From Ofwat to Ofgem these are failed watchdogs and should be scrapped.
