Jere the man as Blaze have great Finnish to roster

GENTING Casino Coventry Blaze have snapped up Finnish defenceman Jere Vertanen, completing the club's roster for the 2025/26 Elite League season.
The 26-year-old joins the Blaze after an impressive campaign in Poland with Unia Oswiecim, where he registered 32 points (seven goals, 25 assists) in 33 regular season games and added a further six points (three goals, three assists) in 11 playoff appearances.
Vertanen also showcased his ability in the Champions Hockey League, scoring three points (one goal, two assists) in five games.
Standing at 6ft 5in, Vertanen is a commanding presence on the blue line with a powerful shot.
