A COVENTRY estate that hundreds of people once called home is now a demolition site.

- By ELLIE BROWN News Reporter

Inside the doomed

Plans to bulldoze three buildings from the 1960s in Spon End for more than 200 new flats took a step forward.

Workers have started removing fixtures and fittings from the 158 homes in Kerry, Milestone and Trafalgar Houses.

The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) had a look around.

Much has changed on the estate since plans for its regeneration were revealed six years ago.

All the flats are vacant, the site is surrounded by hoardings and warn ings of demolition are up inside and outside the area.
