Government could step in over JLR cyber attack

THE government could make a dramatic intervention following the Jaguar Land Rover cyber attack, it has been revealed.

The Government is reportedly considering purchasing Jaguar Land Rover components to safeguard employment at supplier companies.

Proposals are apparently being developed to lessen the impact of a production halt triggered by a serious cyber incident at the Coventry car maker.

Labour might begin purchasing components from Jaguar Land Rover's supply chain in a scheme designed to shield manufacturing positions from the consequences of the disruption.
