Feral flags on streets should be taken down

IT is interesting to read that a petition has been created asking Coventry Council to remove the many national flags that have been put up on telegraph poles, street lights, and other structures across Coventry.

These feral flags have been put up extremely badly, without any permission, and with great disrespect to our national symbols. They are now looking shabby, and because they have been put in place without anyone claiming responsibility for them, it is understandable that some of us begin to have doubts about the motivation of the perpetrators.
