Day is part of the very fabric of football tradition in this country - the one day of the year when families gather from far and wide and go to the match together.And with that often comes an upbeat feeling among the fans enjoying a bit of fresh air following the excesses of the day before.

Asked if he’s expecting there to be a bit of an edge to the atmosphere at the CBS Arena when the Sky Blues take on Swansea this afternoon, City boss Frank Lampard said: “Yeah, I hope so and I'll be honest, after so many years of playing I’ve had both sides of the Boxing Day game.
