JAY Dasilva believes Coventry City have recovered from the ‘punch on the nose’ that saw them lose their long-term leadership of the Championship.
The Sky Blues have responded to being knocked off top spot by reeling off three straight wins, with the latest a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on Wednesday evening.
Before beating the Blades Frank Lampard’s side delivered a perfect riposte to Middlesbrough, who had replaced them at the summit and then went away to win at West Brom.
Goals from Haji Wright and Jack Rudoni mean City are once again five points clear of second - and more importantly nine ahead of Millwall in third and face Mark Robins’ Stoke City at the CBS Arena on Saturday.
“We knew how important it would be for us to come here and and get that away win, that’s two out of three this week, our main focus is making it nine point week. We go again back at home on Saturday,’ Dasilva told BBC C&W.
“We took a bit of a blip I'd say.
