CAPTAIN Georgia Davis insists a young Warwickshire side will learn some tough lessons after slipping to a four-wicket victory at Somerset in a one-sided Metro Bank One Day Cup contest on Saturday.

- By ECB REPORTERS NETWORK

Dani Gibson’s no-nonsense innings of 50 from 30 balls ensured Somerset chased down a victory target of 176 with 22.5 overs to spare at the Cooper Associates Ground in Taunton.

“It was an important toss to win and we found the going tough batting first," said Davis.

“It's always going to be an uphill task when you lose early wickets and that’s how it turned out. Amu (Surenkumar) and Nat (Wraith) did well to build partnerships and get things back on track, but we kept losing wickets in clusters.
