Axes, imitation firearms & batons seized by police

AXES were among a shocking list of 1,400 items seized by police 'stop and searches' across Coventry and West Midlands.
There were also imitation firearms and extendable batons taken off people across the region after officers stopped them.
West Midlands Police has confirmed that, in 2025, there were 680 arrests with the most for possession of a bladed article and possession of an offensive weapon, which can include zombie knives, ninja swords, and other items adapted for harm.
Its Guardian Taskforce team carried out more than 4,660 stop searches.
