Golf courses urged to capitalise on American market

|June 11, 2025
CORNWALL'S golfing industry could capitalise on a resurgence in American golfers travelling overseas as green fees at Britain's best courses soar, it has been claimed.
Golf Tourism England, a national membership organisation for businesses which cater for golfers visiting the country, issued its rallying call to Cornwall's golf clubs, accommodation providers and attractions after organising a trip to the region for American travel bookers.
Its chief executive Andrew Cooke said: "Following the pandemic the American golf tourism market has rebounded positively and England's South West is uniquely placed to benefit as green fees soar in line with unprecedented demand to play golf in the British Isles.
