Residents in Tumahole, a township in the Free State, are finally enjoying running water in their homes after two decades without reliable supply.
A local community member expressed deep gratitude to Ngwathe Local Municipality's Municipal Manager, Dr Futhuli Mothamaha, for making this possible. She highlighted how the absence of water had affected daily life for so long, but now, thanks to recent efforts, water is flowing steadily.
This breakthrough comes as part of broader improvements in service delivery across the municipality, which serves towns like Parys, Vredefort, Mokwallo, Heilbron, Phiritona, Koppies, Kwakwatsi, and Edenville. Dr Mothamaha, appointed in August 2024, has prioritised fixing longstanding issues, drawing praise from locals and stakeholders alike.
