Plea for help to stop dog mess ruining county sports pitches

A COUNCIL has asked for help from the general public because sports pitches are being ruined by dog poo.
Carmarthenshire Council's move comes after increasing concerns were raised about dogs fouling on marked pitches in the county and owners not picking up their pets’ mess.
In response, the council has now launched an “Evidence-Gathering Toolkit” that is designed to help local clubs record how often these offences happen and their severity. The council hopes that any information that is collected will help it gauge the scale of the issue.
The data will also help the council make any potential improvements to Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs).
