Dark cloud casting a shadow over this island

Carmarthen Journal

I WAS meant to be born in a warm European country with a Mediterranean diet, plenty of fish in the market, musicians playing in the street, cultural ethnic diversity and where the football was fast and clever.

- With Graham Davies

However, unstable air currents over northern Europe caused a certain amount of turbulence, confusing the flight plan of the stork and resulting in a forced landing in South Wales. Consequently, I have never really adapted to life on this windy island.

Now I am finding that I am liking it less and getting more uncomfortable.

Having been brought up in a multicultural city with all the colour, cross-cultural fertilisation and vibrancy of different races and faiths, I am being told that this is not the best way to live.
