TN Govt to set up Univ named after former CM Karuna : Stalin

A new University named after former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK Patriarch M Karunanidhi will be set up at Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district, Chief Minister M K Stalin informed the State Assembly on Thursday.

Replying to PMK Leader G K Mani, Mr Stalin recalled the steps taken by Mr Karunanidhi for the development and growth of the education sector and said in deference to the wishes expressed by the member a new University will be set up at Kumbakonam and it will be named after "Kalaignar" Karunanidh
