SCR Vigilance Conducts Check Against Unauthorized Vendors at Vijayawada Station

In a significant move aimed to maintain order and ensure passenger safety, the South Central Railway (SCR) Vigilance Team and Railway Protection Force (RPF) jointly conducted a special check against unauthorized vendors at Vijayawada Railway Station on 5th May, 2025. The operation aimed to curb unregulated vending activities, which often contribute to overcrowding, hygiene concerns, and security risks.

This check primary objective was to eliminate unauthorized commercial activities that compromise both the commuter experience and the operational efficiency of the station. Vendors operating without proper authorization frequently obstruct platform access, diminish service effectiveness, and, in some cases, pose safety hazards.
