Op Sindoor: US President Trump says he knew something was going to happen, hopes it ends quickly

As India bombed terror camps in Pakistan to avenge Pahalgam, US President Donald Trump said he knew "something was going to happen" and expressed hope that “it ends quickly”.

Speaking to reporters in the White House, the US President, commenting on Operation Sindoor launched by the Indian Armed forces, said:

“It's a shame, we just heard about it, just as we were walking into the doors of the Oval.

“I just heard about it; I guess we knew that something was going to happen, based on a little bit of the past,” he said, in reference to the Pahalgam terror attack.

“They've been fighting for a long time, they've been fighting for many, many decades...

“Now I just hope it ends very quickly,” the US President said.

Notably, President Trump was the first world leader to call up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and speak with him immediately after the April 22 Pahalgam attack, and condemned the terror attack and offered to help.

The US has chosen not to interfere in the relations between India and Pakistan, and let the two sides solve the issues between themselves.
