Execution of Nimisha Priya in Yemen postponed: Kerala CM expresses relief

(UNI) The postponement of the execution of Nimisha Priya, who was sentenced to death in Yemen, is both relieving and hopeful, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said today.

Hoping that this development has granted Keralite nurse Nimisha Priya more time to seek clemency from the death sentence, the CM said this outcome was made possible due to the initiative and intervention of Sayed Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar.
He said the decision was the result of tireless efforts by compassionate and humane individuals.
