Disappointment Brews Among Congress Leaders Over Mulugu

The recent appointment of Rega Kalyani, an Adivasi leader from the Koya tribal community, as Chairperson of the Mulugu Market Committee has sparked quiet discontent among certain sections of the Congress party, especially among senior leaders who had long nurtured aspirations for the post.

One such figure is Baireddy Bhagavan Reddy, who currently serves as the President of the Congress Party’s Mulugu Block unit. A veteran Congress loyalist, Reddy was reportedly hopeful that Minister Smt. Seethakka would nominate him for the coveted Market Committee leadership, especially given his decades-long dedication to the party. However, with the announcement of Rega Kalyani's appointment, those hopes have been dashed.
