September 02, 2025

THREE more suspects have been arrested and charged with the murder of a young mother who was stabbed and her body dumped at the Wolfgat Nature Reserve in Mitchell's Plain.

- GENEVIEVE SERRA

This brings the total to six suspects arrested and charged.

The group may not be identified until their formal identity parade has been completed.

The newly arrested trio made their first appearance in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate's Court yesterday and joined the three others who were detained a week ago.

Some of the suspects live in the Tafelsig community, in areas such as Freedom Park.

They are jointly charged with the murder of 29-year-old Clare Swartz and the attempted murder of her boyfriend.
