Sacha: Not wrong for Stormers to aim for big URC prize

IT would be wrong not to aim for 20 points in their final four games at home, and the Stormers have embraced that mindset as they look to give themselves the best possible chance of qualifying for the United Rugby Championship (URC) playoffs.

Their first big task is facing an injury-depleted Connacht on Saturday at Cape Town Stadium (4pm kick-off).

With the Irish side losing their coach Pete Wilkins ahead of the clash after his resignation, they could be there for the taking.

According to star flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, their goal is five points from each of their next games, beginning with Connacht on Saturday.

“Playing at home again is extremely important for us, and will give us the best possible chance to get 20 points from the four remaining matches,” Feinberg-Mngomezulu said during a press briefing at the Stormers training headquarters in Bellville on Wednesday.

“That is what kind of separates the top from the middle of the table in this competition.

“When you can get five points, you must take the five.
