CO-FOUNDED by chartered accountant and social entrepreneur Aditi Radhakrishna and Tamara Rose, Ruby Rose Feminine Hygiene SA is reshaping the way menstrual health is experienced in South Africa.
In a country where millions still lack access to safe, affordable menstrual products, Ruby Rose is tackling two pressing challenges: period poverty and environmental impact.
The company manufactures and distributes eco-friendly, SABS-approved sanitary pads made from biodegradable materials and sustainable packaging. Unlike traditional pads that contribute to landfill waste, these products are designed with women’s health and the planet in mind. As single-use pads, they are practical in communities with limited access to clean water, while still being environmentally responsible.
