Ramaphosa mourns loss of 42 foreign nationals

PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed his condolences to the nations of Zimbabwe and Malawi after a horrific bus crash near Makhado (formerly Louis Trichardt), Limpopo, claimed 42 lives.
The passengers, mostly Zimbabwean and Malawian nationals, were travelling from Ggeberha (Port Elizabeth) in the Eastern Cape to their home countries when the bus veered off a mountainous section of the N1 and plunged down an embankment.
Dozens more were injured.
Ramaphosa said the tragedy was compounded by the fact that it occurred during Transport Month, a time when South Africa highlights the importance of road safety.
