Mom fights for justice after son’s tragic murder

A HANOVER Park mother says nothing will stop her from fighting for justice for her murdered son.

Police have made a breakthrough in the senseless murder of Lushaan Hendricks, 16, who was gunned down on December 18, last year, in Surran Road, Hanover Park in the crossfire of a gang shooting.
Lushaan was an innocent Grade 9 learner at Crystal High School and was laid to rest on December 27.
He is also the son of crime fighter Melanie Hendricks who is demanding justice for her son.
Two suspects, aged 22 and 33 were arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder and made their first appearance at the Athlone Magistrate Court on December 30.
