U's Women look to bounce back after third loss in a row

CAMBRIDGE United Women conceded late on to suffer a 2-1 defeat at home to Norwich City Women in the FAWNL Division One South East on Sunday.

Grace Riglar's penalty put the Canaries in front on the stroke of halftime in St Neots, before Zoe Wood netted United's equaliser with 18 minutes remaining.

However, Freya Symonds struck three minutes from time to give the second-placed visitors the points, and consign the seventh-placed U's to a fourth defeat of their league campaign.

Reflecting on the loss, U's head coach Sean Greygoose told his club: "I think first half, they were the better side by far.
