THREE SECOND HALF SCORES PROVES SCANT CONSOLATION

Trailfinders run riot with 13 tries to crush Blood & Sand

CAMBRIDGE Rugby Club put in a spirited second-half performance on Saturday, but only after they had been blown away 89-19 by Ealing Trailfinders at Grantchester Road.

The visitors were thoroughly professional in first half to put the points to bed as they scored eight of their 13 tries, and all that came after the Blood & Sand’s Matty Williams fell just short of giving the hosts an early lead.

Ben Ward was pleased with the way his side responded to their defeat against Bedford Blues: “Cambridge caught us at a bad time for them. Obviously, we weren't happy with that defeat.
