Third time not-so lucky for battling Eynesbury

FOR the third consecutive match Eynesbury Rovers were away to a promotion chasing side - this time losing 2-0 at Moulton in the United Counties League Premier South on Saturday.

After securing wins at Histon and AFC Hinckley, they were unable to record a treble going down 2-0 in their first ever visit to fourth-placed Moulton. However, they had chances to score but had a 'goal' disallowed and an effort cleared off the line.

After Jordan Brown saw his shot blocked, Moulton launched a counter attack which finished with Nathan Amaning sweeping home a low left-wing cross from seven yards to give the hosts an 11th minute lead.

After Damien Osoimoejiokhian headed over from a corner, the visitors went on to enjoy the better of the half. Brown combined with Victor Osobu before shooting inches over the bar from the edge of the box. Just two minutes later Osobu set up Brown again but his effort was blocked.
