Will Apple packaging up music, design and photo apps help unleash user's imaginations?

- JUSTIN CONNOLLY

Dawn of creation

IN the social media age, we are all creators in some way or another - whether it’s fashioning graphics for a post, or editing photos and videos to upload.

And while the tools to do all that are many and varied, the field got a little more crowded when Apple unveiled its latest release last week.

The Creator Studio is all about software - a bundle of apps that come together under a single subscription to offer all-comers the opportunity to make their best work. And the best bit is access to all this is very affordable indeed, undercutting rivals like Adobe with its Creative Cloud by some distance.

None of the apps in the Creator Studio are new - many of them have been available for years. Some of them are even free, while others are available for fairly hefty one-off fees - video editing suite Final Cut Pro, for example, can be bought for £299.99.

A Creator Studio subscription allows not just access to the app, but also extra features, many of which are powered by Apple Intelligence - Apple’s own take on AI.
