Council: No way to remove barge left to rot in river

Cambridge News

July 08, 2025

A HOUSE barge appears to be collapsing into the River Cam - but Cambridge City Council has said there is currently no way to remove it.

- By SIOBHAN MIDDLETON

The barge can be seen from out side Jesus Green Lido, moored to the far bank - but the council says that the barge cannot be removed until the Baits Bite Lock can be opened.
