FROM RELEGATION SURVIVORS TO PROMOTION HOPEFULS IN A YEAR

JUST 12 months ago, Eynesbury Rovers were pleased to hang on to their UCL Premier Division South status after a season flirting with relegation.

Therefore, this season, to equal their second best ever UCL finish with fifth place to earn a place in the promotion play-offs is a fantastic achievement on its own, and there is still a first ever appearance in the UCL KO Cup Final to look forward to.

However, this game proved to be a step too far and the 5-0 scoreline certainly flattered hosts Aylestone Park.

A spell of three goals in 11 second half minutes put the game beyond Eynesbury who, up until that point, had matched Aylestone Park in terms of chances created.
