GOLD prices slipped on Monday, pressured by a stronger dollar as investors waited for a series of US economic data this week that could shed more light on the US Federal Reserve's interest rate path.
-
Spot gold was down 0.4% at $4,062.96 per ounce, as of 0608 GMT. US gold futures for December delivery fell 0.7% to $4,064.50 per ounce.
The dollar index extended gains to a second session against its rivals, making gold less attractive for other currency holders.
