Sun Pharma launches plaque psoriasis drug Ilumya in India

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, a global specialty pharmaceutical powerhouse, on Monday announced the strategic launch of its innovative drug, Ilumya (Tildrakizumab), in India, which is used to treat moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.
The drug has been priced at ₹84,375 per injection and a patient needs five injections a year.
Sun Pharma stock was down 1.28 percent on BSE. The move introduces a major new therapy for patients battling with the condition, underscoring Sun Pharma’s accelerating presence in the global specialty medicine segment.

Ashish Singhal, cofounder of CoinSwitch, India’s largest cryptocurrency (crypto) trading platform, says crypto adoption in the country is rapidly shifting beyond metropolitan centres.
