PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos welcomed over 300 overseas Filipino workers (OFW) and their families, who were brought home from the conflict-hit Middle East countries.

- By SAMUEL P. MEDENILLA

The 343 repatriated OFWs and their dependents arrived before 6:30 a.m. via a government-chartered Philippine Airlines flight PR8502 at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City last Monday.

It was the fourth flight charted by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to bring home Filipinos, who were affected by the escalating tension in the Middle East after the United States and Israel attack Iran.

Of the said repatriates, most or 109 came from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ninety-nine were from Kuwait, 79 from Bahrain, and 56 from Qatar.
