MARION MCMULLEN FINDS OUT WHY CORONATION STREET STARS ARE SWAPPING THE COBBLES FOR THE STAGE
-
What are you looking forward to most from An Audience with Coronation Street dates?
Bill Roache (Ken Barlow): Coronation Street has been a second home and its fans an extended family. To now have the chance to meet audiences in person is a real privilege.
Amanda Barrie (Alma Halliwell): The show's heart has always been its people, on screen and off. I’m so looking forward to sharing those memories.
Barbara Knox (Rita Sullivan): I don’t often do things like this, but this show felt like the right moment to say thank you and to celebrate everything Corrie has meant to all of us.
What can audiences expect:
Jack P Shepherd (David Platt): It’s just chewing the fat really, which I love doing. I’m actually really looking forward to it.
Sit on a stage, have a laugh, talk about what it’s like working on Corrie. We know people are interested, they want the behind-the-scenes stuff, all the bits you don’t see on telly.
Julia Goulding, (Shona Platt): I feel very privileged to be asked.
It was a conversation with my agent and originally it was for the Glasgow show date. Then when the new dates were added, they got back in touch and asked, “Would you like to do any more?” And I was, “Yeah, do them all!” So I’m doing three of the live shows.
