WORK DELAYED AS DEFECTS FOUND BENEATH SURFACE
Burton Mail
|November 24, 2025
THE remaining repairs to a busy Burton road have now been completed, along with the installation of a new parallel crossing designed to improve safety for families and cyclists.
The work on Shobnall Road follow a Staffordshire County Council project this year to create a shared footpath and cycleway along the route.
However, during construction highways crews discovered defects beneath the road surface, leading to more extensive repairs than originally planned.
These additional repairs were carried out over two days and finished on November 17.
